About Charles Flint Education & Development
I’m Dave Flint, a psychotherapist, counsellor, coach and course creator. Charles Flint Education & Development brings together my CPD, courses and commissioned programmes.
My experience in therapeutic practice and coaching informs this work. Each course or programme has its own focus, shaped by its subject and the people it is for.
What you will find here
The current range includes professional CPD on working with boys and young men, and Masculinity in the Modern Age, a programme for young people. Courses for parents and couples, and a programme for primary-age boys, are in development.
Each offer has its own page explaining who it is for, what it covers and its current availability. Organisations can also enquire about learning around an agreed need.
How we develop our courses
Our courses and CPD respond to the needs of the people taking part and the issues shaping their lives and work. Each is developed around its particular topic, with space to explore ideas, build understanding and work towards practical solutions.
For practitioners, this means considering how learning relates to their work. For young people, it means opportunities to explore issues affecting their lives. When working with an organisation, we begin with the needs of the people taking part and agree what the programme is there to address.
Education and therapeutic practice
My experience as a therapist informs my education work. My psychotherapy, counselling and coaching practice is provided separately through Charles Flint Therapies.
