Our approach to learning
Thoughtful learning should offer something you can take back into your work and life: a clearer understanding, a useful question or another way to respond.
Why we develop our courses
Our courses and CPD respond to the needs of the people taking part and the issues shaping their lives and work. Each is developed around its particular topic, with space to explore ideas, build understanding and work towards practical solutions.
Our boys and young men CPD explores masculinity, shame, anger and emotional development. Strength, care and responsibility belong in that discussion, alongside an honest look at harm and its impact.
You’re welcome to suggest a topic or ask about commissioning a course or programme. We can discuss what you have in mind and whether we’re able to develop something suitable.
Quality with practical purpose
We connect ideas with recognisable situations and space for reflection. Each course should be worthwhile in its own right, with a clear audience, scope and learning aims.
We are pursuing CPCAB endorsement for the Intro, Core and Full-Day workshops because we want our professional training to be open to external scrutiny. Endorsement has not yet been granted and booking is not open. Each course page will state its confirmed status and the delivery formats covered.
A smaller first step
Good learning should be worth investing in. The stepped fees for our boys and young men CPD pathway let you try an introduction before committing to more, while recognising your investment if you continue. You can also join directly at the level that suits you; earlier attendance is not a prerequisite.
How progression credits work
In our individual boys and young men CPD pathway, the previous level’s full fee is credited against the next:
Taster — £20. A planned 30-minute recorded introduction.
Intro — receive a £20 progression credit after Taster, bringing the £50 fee to £30.
Core — receive a £50 progression credit after Intro, bringing the £195 fee to £145.
Full-Day — receive a £195 progression credit after Core, bringing the £595 fee to £400.
Complete Intro, Core and Full-Day for a total investment of £595, gaining 8.5 CPD learning hours, excluding breaks. The planned 30-minute Taster is additional learning and its £20 fee is included in the £595 total when you follow the full sequence. Each credit is the previous level’s full fee, even where you reached that level using an earlier credit.
Credits apply sequentially to the same person, once at each step, with no cash value. Other discounts cannot be combined unless agreed. The redemption window and cancellation terms will be available before purchase. Organisation fees are quoted separately.
We intend to extend this approach across suitable courses. Each course will clearly state its own offer and conditions.
Choose how you learn
Intro, Core and Full-Day are planned for live online and in-person delivery. Recordings are also planned, starting with Taster and likely Intro. Recordings are not yet available; course pages will confirm the options and any endorsement applicable to each format.
